Please excuse my scruffy "injection trousers"! |
I had a bit of bad luck with the first one, which bled a bit, but the others have been fine. I must say a big thank you to the ladies on the babyandbump website when I had a little panic about my markings (see picture)! They are always so supportive and shared with me their experiences and injections tips. I would recommend anyone having fertility issues to take a look at this forum and post any questions or concerns that they have; they really have made this whole process a lot more bearable over the last year.
The other bit of news is that I had an interesting chat with my crystal therapy friend when I went last week. We worked on some visualisations to do which, once developed a little more, I will type up and share. I also had an interesting conversation about a baby's soul and when it becomes part of the physical body. I need to get that a little straighter in my head and perhaps do some meditation on it before I also write I that one up.

Hi Fluffy Star - it's Caroline, Giles' wife. It is really useful to follow your progress, thank you for directing me to your blog. Seems like we are so far behind you, yet we started TTC at the same time - interesting how different NHS cogs turn! Think Giles has told you that we have our initial appointment to sign up for drugs on Thursday - we're going to ask about sniffing and injections as this seems to differ to your treatment, even though we are going to the same clinic. Looking forward to our holiday so we can switch off for a bit and build up the energy for the next stage!
Good luck. Caroline
Go girl...I hope the cycle continues to go well.
Hi Caroline, Glad you find my ramblings useful! Oh you arent that far behind, you are practically ready to start. I think the only difference is that you are being treated by addenbrookes and then H&E for the opp, whereas we never got the option of addenbrookes - that would have been easier travel wise! I keep focussing on all this being over with us both having bumps and then we can all go out for dinner to celebrate :-) Good luck for thursday.

Hi Claire - Thank you, I just get so frustrated with all the waiting around. Today is day 21 and I feel I want to get started!!!
Like you say, hopefully in a few months we'll both have bumps! Would be good to meet up.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that its a positive appointment tomorrow xx
Nightmare narrowly avoided! Had appointment today - 1st thing consultant said was that he wanted to put me on Zoladex for 3 months before starting due to my endo - studies have shown that a course on this drug increases chances of live birth when endo involved - took a lot to not burst in to tears. BUT good news is that we managed to negotiate and can have 1 month of Zoladex before I start 'sniffing' on day 21 of my next cycle - so relieved!!
Hope your injections are going ok and the bruises have gone down!

Thats fantastic!!!!!! Im so pleased, I was worrying about your appointment today! Giles has my mobile number if you ever want to chat about any of it.
Injections are going fine in a practical sense but im feeling a bit rubbish. I think its messing with my head a little but im also a bit worried about working all the appointments around work so that doesnt help.
So glad you had a positive appointment

Hi Claire - Thank you.
Don't worry about the appointments - you'll just have to phone in sick if you need to, nothing is as important as you getting sorted! Plus there are some you just can't miss otherwise you could risk your health.
